Wren Customs can hold a hyperbaric chamber without even opening the box.

Ash That's FDA Import Alert 99-34. It lists 'Hyperbaric Chamber' among products it can detain at the border without physical examination.

Wren That matters because a hard-shell chamber costs about eight grand at the factory and far more here, two to three times the price. Importing looks tempting.

Ash The tracker now calls importing directly a flagged activity. It anchors on the factory floor price.

Wren It says the FDA added the listing, but not how the alert applies to single shipments.

Ash So the cheap route may carry added cost and delay. Full tracker's at DreamLab Research.
